Wireless Security
Hi All
I have a wireless router and a wireless access point in my house (1 upstairs/1 downstairs). Is it possible to use WEP on one and WPA on the other? The reason I want to use WEP on 1 is so I can connect my DS to the network. Thanks videodj |

Can you try it to see what happens? |
Re: Wireless Security
If your router has the option you could try adding your DS to the DMZ zone of your router?

Re: Wireless Security
or you could just use WEP on both, i use WEP

Re: Wireless Security
That does not surprise me in the least to be honest.

Re: Wireless Security
Given the choice, always go for WPA! Three members of staff at "a school" who live on site had BT HomeHubs with WEP only. Within a week, "some pupils" had run sniffing software, unscrambled the key and were using it as an alternative to the "restricted" school version. The staff now use WPA without issue!
