WRT54GL - Flashing power LED - No Connection

Hello all

This week, my wireless connection dropped, and ever since, I've been unable to get a connection via the router and have had to connect directly to my modem. When powered up, the power led blinks. I've had a look at the Linksys support site regarding this and have followed their instructions of reseting router/replacing firmware (after assigning static IP addresses to PC, etc):

http://linksys.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/...=7229738419B16

This has been unsuccessful, and the firmware won't load/ no change to router's behaviour.

Does anyone have any ideas as to any other things I could try or is the router knackered?!

Thanks in advance.

Gabriel

Sounds knackered to me, although, have you tried leaving it unplugged from the mains for a good length of time?

Maybe your WLAN card is dead, could be anything causing it, give us detail on how you connect normally

OK, thanks.....

I connect normally from PC network card to motorola sb4100 modem. This still works fine.

I was connecting the modem to router/router to PC, etc and this has worked fine previously with no probs.

The router seemed to drop the connection suddenly, for no reason, displaying the above. Not sure if it's of any significance, but I was downloading a game demo wirelessly onto a PS3 at the time this happened.

so the wireless has dropped on all devices?

If so, its not you WLAN card, its somthing with the router, check config and if they are all fine it must be broken

hey mate, i have been having the same problem, the wlan light blinks, and the ethernet port light dont show up. meaning the connection is down.

what i did was go to control panel > Network Connections, then the LAN logo should say disconected. double click on the logo and it should automaticlly try to connect again.

hope it helps
