She didn't want to.
Although the police are looking into whether he can be charged with something, he wasn't keeping her there, she was keeping herself there (until she became one with the toilet seat at least).
They're looking at neglect charges because he took 2 years to get external help for her.
I guess it's a bit like someone knowing their partner is anorexic but not forcing them to get help for 2 years, then facing charges.

Very strange, not really surprised it was in the states though ;) So for 2 years she sat there, what about visitors to the house, friends of the woman wondering what had gone on, where she was ?

With Crohn's I do take the odd break from the loo, even though it seems like I've been stuck on it for the last 20 years but it's nothing compared to that though. Hard to take in really, totally bizarre.

I presume he gave her food and water though. Not sure if you could charge someone for it though, since it was her own free will.

Just when you think there is nothing bizarre left to know about. Must have been a damn sight more comfortable then the one i have also hats off to the girl as someone who has had a good night out and not managed to stay on one for 5 minutes the girl has stamina.
