TP-Link TL-WR642G Router / Macbook Users - Help with Setup

Hello,

I just bought this DSL router to use with Virgin Cable broadand and it works at sending the internet wirelessly, but I can not alter any of the values of the settings in the 192.168.1.1 configuration pages. So at the moment I'm on an non-secure connection and I have no password for my router.

For example, whenever I click to change any settings the page returns to the default.

Or if I go to Quick Setup and click next it does nothing.

I'm not an expert but I have set up quite a few wireless routers and I know something is not right here.

Can anyone offer a solution?

Cheers

:welcome:

I can't help, other than to suggest re-setting to factory defaults & trying again?

Thanks for the support. Do you mean, by pressing and holding the reset button on the unit itself or restoring the software defaults on the configuration page?
