Severe storm on the way
 

An "exceptional" storm will hit Britain tonight - with people warned to stay in and avoid unnecessary journeys.
Forecasters say it will be the sort of weather only experienced once every seven years - prompting comparisons with the Great Storm of 1987.


Forecasters said the weather system currently forming out in the Atlantic is not an average winter storm and only 30 of a similar force have been recorded since 1821.

sounds bad ..fortunatly i live allong the river humber 20% risk so hopefully will escape the worst.

You positive about this?I'm down here on the south coast(SE or SW depending where the line gets drawn)and it's absolutely gorgeous here.Brilliant sunshine after a damp morning.:confused:

Well the brilliant sunshine has now gone here and ominous looking clouds are on the horizon

It was nice and sunny and now just had some hail.
Hopefully it won't be too bad tonight.

Nice and sunny here at the moment, but the forecast looks grim. High tide is around 8.00am and the forecast is clear but very windy so I'll be down the sea front with my camera's in the morning.
