Digital Sound Loss on Sky+ Box
 

My Sky+ Box is configured for Dolby Digital sound out and is connected to my Amp via optical audio cable. Has been working fine for the last 2 year but suddenly stopped working. I thought perhaps the problem was with the Optical cable so changed it but the problem is still there. I have my PS3 connected to the same Amp via a second optical connection point on the Amp and this works OK. For the Sky+ I now have to route the sound via the TV, which is OK but not good. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix the problem it would be appreciated.

do a double check and use the ps3 lead and input point for the sky+ if stil no sound that is absolute proof the sky is faulty, then other than a mains reset of the stb a call to sky faults is the other option!
