I have a Samsung LE26R72 (earlier model than R88) attached to the XBox360 which I think is superb. Will be getting the R88 for Granny as her CRT has just bitten the dust.
Iirc Samsung make the LCD panels for Sony, so they are essentially the same screen.

I have the samsung one for the bedroom, fantastic picture on it, and is quite light which makes mounting it on the wall easier

i know about Samsung making the panels for Sony, but the S3000U model i saw which was a Sony looked awful compared to the R88, i would go for the R88 but it lacks teletext...

Surely you don't think you'd miss teletext? (assuming you mean analogue teletext?).

I'm sure the lack of teletext wouldnt put me off, especially as I have the internet.

i dont really use it, someone else in the family does, however it still has its uses, sometimes websites and the main news dont show all the stories in so much detail, or you get some which are not mentioned at all.

its still a handy service!
