First it was the Invasion of the Jellyfish but did anyone see this last night?

I haven't seen all of it yet but what I have seen was quite worrying. Yes counterfeiting has been around since the year dot but apparently in more recent times, huge corporations have been so eager to ship their maufacturing off to the cheapest place that they've not been very diligent in protecting their brands or indeed their customers. Whilst we're all familiar with fake watches, DVD's, perfume and handbags, more worrying is the widespread fabrication of, for example, counterfeit electronic parts for all sorts of important equipment, faulty condoms destined for Africa and pharmaceuticals containing all sorts of nasty stuff which might do you in even if not receiving your required medication doesn't first!

The programme included footage from a major a conference in London organised by large companies apparently trying to crack down on counterfeiting. One clip said it all really - when asked by a journalist, during a subsequent media briefing, why it was that in almost all cases China is clearly responsible yet they'd managed to avoid naming the culprit once during their entire conference, the ensuing awkward silence in the room was truly deafening.

There's another episode next week which I will be watching even though it's all really quite scary. I wonder what we'd do if Iran was behind all this?.....

I have no sympathy. The large Corporations have brought this on themselves due to Corporate greed notwithstanding the fact that they have also priced themselves out of the market. They are dinosaurs and deserve to meet the same fate.

The fake drugs however are a tragedy and just illustrate how corrupt and apathetic the authorities are in regulating this industry.

Corrupt? No, it's just the usual combination of not wanting to upset businessmen ('light touch regulation') and not putting in enough resources. The latter you can even spin as financial prudence, as Brown did when pushing through 20,000 civil service job cuts.

You don't need corruption to explain it, just the consequence of 30 years of Thatcherism.

Well China is rapidly becoming (if not already) an economic superpower which if we're not very careful will have us all over a barrel. It's true that they rely on trade with the west but which company/country is going to risk putting its head above the parapet to condemn this sort of practice and risk sanctions by the Chinese?

They may be enjoying the benefits, but they are also discovering some of the "features"

I had an urgent call a while back to return my medication for exchange... counterfeit meds had entered the pharmacy supply chain.

I was already feeling unwell, but what if my meds had been for a heart condition or similar?

lol counterfit coorporation items especially pharmaceutracal are not a worry, them products are bad enough on there own.

Condoms in africa had aids on them anyway to help spread the infection part of the population control, Along with guns placed in poverty stricken areas of london, nottz and many other areas (yes most organised gangs still exist because there funded by intelligence agencies) and controlling the telephone tower radio waves to make us anxious n to manipulate our emotions. Obviously this informations debatable but reading some open minded books NOT written by authority and taking the truth as authority rather than the authority as truth will soon show to you the reality.

Oh for crying out loud!
Condoms were not laced with HIV, that was something which the local catholic church was found to be saying, along with latex having holes in it big enough to let HIV through to try and get people to abstain rather than use contraceptive. :rolleyes:
For starters, as with most viruses, survival outside a biological entity is very short, so a condom with HIV on it would soon be inert.
If you did some proper research into such things you'd know this, ok so it would be less "exciting" than a conspiracy theory, but then, real life generally is less "exciting"
Next you'll be saying that McDonalds mixes worms in with their burger meat...

the saying Truth is stranger than fiction is very true.

History is best qualified to teach one quoting a german philosopher who many should know the name of. But my point being ive learnt from history kids out in africa got infected blankets given to them by red cross with small pocks.

If you havnt noticed by now the people in control dont give two ***** about africa, n they clearly dont care about UK people as Michael meacher Former MP has expressed his views over alot of things including the iraq war. With pharmaceutracals they treat us like lab rats, once you begin to look into it you realise this. Most drugs they prescribe just bring and so called "cures" just bring about other problems because they are unnatural cures for the disease. Which may i add i believe is the product of all this unnatural food in the supermarkets and in general life. Macdonalds lol dont even go there, There food is certified fake i feel like ive recieved cancer after ive eating it its ridiculous how bad that food is. Supersize me will clear the air for me there.

think you'll find virus's like HIV and Aids are unique virus's which almost "have a mind of there own". They pop out of no where, with no explanation other than black men raping monkeys which is the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard.

The man who invented aids, read that book. As for putting it on condoms. Population control is just a factor for the people who think on a completely different level to you and any MP or politician who you may think has he "power". Just a spokesmen nothing more. A front man of a business. In this case the business is "The system".

Small pocks? I take it you mean small pox? Pull the other one, blankets were not laced with small pox, again, being outside a biological system, exposed to the elements, it doesn't last long.
As for population control, so what you're saying is, those in power in the west don't care about Africa, but on the other hand, they do care about Africa and don't want it to become overcrowded? You can't see the paradox there can you?
The strain of SIV which developed into HIV has been found in chimps in the Congo. Tell me you didn't pay for these books you've be reading?

Sadly I don't think he is reading any books just websites,blogs and Youtube where of course everyone tells their own version of the truth :rolleyes: and listening to other trolls who like to wind up others.
