indoor arieals -> improve picture quality?

is there anyway to improve the picture quality on my indoor arieal

i currently have the the thomson ant55 but on some channels the picutre is quite fuzzy, espeically on bbc1, when they are live, for some reason

im thinking of buying the highly rated telecam amplified one from argos (19.99)

will it help?

im based in north london recieving crystal palace on my samsung tv built in freeview

An indoor aerial is a wideband aerial, not particularly good at picking up any particular frequency. Crystal Palace is one of the few (may be the only one) where all the signals for both analogue and digital can be picked up with a Group A aerial. I'd get a smallish group A antenna and construct your own stand for it. It will work far better than the jack of all trades wideband antenna.

It's a pity that there is not some kind of device to plug an external aerial into which would broadcast the signal round your house so that indoor aerials used on TVs which are not connected to the external aerial could receive a stronger, more local signal.

I have an external aerial for my main TV downstairs but do not want to wire up the rest of the house to provide TV on my other TVs or my PC via a TV tuner card.

I've tried a number of aerials with and without boosters but the signal has always been unsatisfactory compared with an external aerial.
