We visit Jersey every year either in May or August and really like being there. I never expected Jersey to have a crime bigger than tax evasion and drug infiltration. I wish I hadn't booked for August. It's as tainted as England now, for me.
Bless all the people who are starting to tell their stories to the media, and the ones who can't.

Discovered today that an old friend of mine has come forward as one of the abused. really hits home when its someone you know!

Now I understand why he didnt ever talk about his childhood. and yet.. he didnt turn into an abuser.. he'd give you his last quid if you needed it.

Couldn't agree more tweets! There was a photo of one of the stairways, under which they were investigating a trap door to cells. I get this terrible feeling of forboding. What unimaginable terrors happened there? :shocked:

Lets not forget, many of the ex inmates are probably still having nightmares. I can't imagine how terrifyingly awful it must have been for these little children, with nobody to call on for help or support. :(
