Newgroups error
 

Hello is anyone else getting a error connecting to blueyonder newsgroups.

I posted a message in support few hours back about problems with my connection and now going back to check i get.

502 Permission Denied - Permission Denied - Sorry you were not recognised as an authorised user of this system (Tornado v1.0.6.372)
Configuration:
Account: news.blueyonder.co.uk
Server: news.blueyonder.co.uk
Protocol: NNTP
Port: 119
Secure(SSL): 0
Error Number: 502
Code: 800ccca0

Anyone else having problems can't see anything on there status page about it.

I'm getting the same error, has yours been resolved yet?

I tried rebooting everything but still not working.

I had been downloading stuff but had paused the download then when I resumed it comes out with this message.

I'm in East Kilbride in case thats relevant

Hi All
First post and just want to ask the question about news.blueyonder.co.uk?. I am in Wigan and having the same 502 error and yes I have checked the config and it is correct. I also have tested Giganews and that is working. Any ideas ?

I'm East Kilbride also.
Same problem.
Helpdesk don't seem to know anything about Newsgroups.
Say there is no problem

I'm getting the same error.

Just called through and it's now been raised as an outage.

Pay money and get a decent service? You can get unlimited downloads for about a tenner a month from any number of commercial services.

Customers nationally may currently be receiving error "502 Access Denied" when trying to access the news server news.blueyonder.co.uk.

Our engineers are aware of the issue and are working to resolve this as soon as possible.

Virgin Media would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
