Power lead for Denon amplifier

I'm after a power lead with the small 'figure of 8' socket on one end, to a 2 pin plug (that is bigger, but I don't know what it's called) on the other end - see this picture of said amplifier with AC outlets on right-hand side. It's to connect a tuner (& turntable) power to be fed directly from the amplifier

Had a quick look at Maplins, can't seem to find what I want - anyone any idea, and also where to get one, please?

Only had it a few days. Also not got any 'proper' speakers yet, just connected to old midi-hifi speakers :o:

That said, it is a nice peice of kit, well made. Check out some of the reviews, it seems to get good comments. Better still pop into a shopand listen to it with various speakers. What one person likes another doesn't. Hi-fi is very subjective.

no problem - I googled 'shaver plug', so it was more luck than judgement ;)

I've always seen Denon held up as a quality manufacturer :)

Yeah, I've been considering Denon for my next Amp.
Ideally to go with a set of Morduant Short speakers.
The Mezzo2 speakers look nice too but I'm going to need to save up.

Once I actually saw it on screen as a lead, I realised it was 2 pin european, but somehow initially I was trying to make it some 'special' connection. Thanks again, have now found some other suppiers as well.

Nice speakers :)

The Denon amp is much more solid than the Marantz I originally got (even though they're owned by the same company). I particulary liked the 'record selector' function which I wanted to do stuff with my computer and the like. The Marantz had some cross talk issues if you play one thing and record from another source, but the Denon has none, or none that is particularly noticeable.

Be a much nicer set-up when I get some speakers, oh, and a unit to put the amp, tuner, and Technics turntable on ;)

Beware when people recommend an amp. When buying an amp you really should drive it from your prime input device and use your own speakers and have a listen. In the past ive read good reviews about amps and then had a listen using my speakers etc and the results have been poor. I've also listened to amps that don't come with awards etc and they have sounded far superior to my ear using my speakers. At the end of the day, everyone hears things differently and have their own preference in terms of quality.
