Connection Statistics

I've not a clue what's good when it comes to line statistics on a BT line so I would be grateful if someone would look these over and see what you think:

Re: Connection Statistics

Are you with Sky? That stats screen looks a bit off, you may be capped due to line issues etc. SNR/ noise margin should be as high as possible and at the very least in double figures for a stable connection if you are on the white netgear router. Your SNR is very high, your attenuation is good but speed low???
Have you had stability issues or connection drop outs in the past? If so you may have had your line cap to stabilise it.
Best bet is skyuser as there are a number of sky staff and adsl people over there but can you confirm that your router is on the master socket, that the filter is the first thing plugged into the socket and if there are any extensions or other devices on the line?

Re: Connection Statistics

Its not Sky, it's a business package on Griffin Broadband but with (almost) the same router. We were on ADSLMax (8meg) but that was dropping out at all hours (I found that the dropout we experienced early this morning was due to planned maintenance on the switches and the router failed to re-authenticate). We are now on 2meg as it's more stable. Might we be better off going for a NTL/Telewest Business package due to the BT Line?

Are your stats the same now? If they put you on 2Mb to stabilise then either you have bad lines between your modem and the exchange or are quite a way from the exchange itself.

Those are the stats with the 2 meg connection and don't vary much around those figures
