iPod charger for TomTom

Do you think there is any reason why you shouldn't use an iPod mains charger for charging TomTom. They both charge from USB, and I would have thought that the transformer would deliver the same voltage.
Am I right?

As long as the labelling on both products state the same volts and amperage are used then it should work fine.

the Ipod mains charger follows the USB protocol of 5V so no problem charging ANYTHING that uses USB to charge. I regularly use my ipod charger to charge bluetooth headsets, cellphones etc that normally have a USB charging option.
