Ive peaked at ~ 161KB/s

Usually hit 30 - 70KB/s if I download anything.

Their proxy compresses images but I think its possible to change a setting to stop that from happening or just force refresh the page.

Thats on a E220 modem in a HSDPA enabled cell ;)
