VPN compatible router

After years of stupidly slow ADSL, we are finally about to make the switch to cable. However, I've just remembered that in the past we have needed to buy a new router as the old one was not compatible with the Cisco VPN client we use to connect to the office network (something to do with VPN pass-through IIRC).

Now, as we switch to cable, we're going to need to invest in a new WiFi router (without a modem built in). So, I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good, relatively cheap, Cisco VPN compatible WiFi router, preferably one that they personally use with a Cisco VPN so we can be sure it will work.

Thanks, I'll look at getting one of those. Any idea where has the best deal on them?

Also, I've done some research and I think the technology I'm looking for is definitely VPN pass through. Can someone confirm this?

A lot of routers are capable of VPN pass-through, but better yet, are the ones which support 3rd party firmware for really great control over your router. This is why I recommend the WRT54G, although I couldn't tell you of any special deals on it, you'll have to just look around, sorry!

In which case you'll want the "L" model, if it does indeed support VPN passthrough, which is what i think you're wanting.

Linksys WRT54GL. The L denotes Linux, it's operating system, which is why it is so versatile.
