Use an old router to connect your Xbox wirelessly!
I don't know if anyone has tried this but i decided against buying a wireless adaptor for £60 and tried to setup my old router to connect it to my new router. You need to have WDS available and decent knowledge on how networks work. Im not going into a how to unless people really want it. This way you could upgrade your PS3, Xbox and anything else to Pre N, as you would be directly cabling into the router, which is an obvious advantage speed wise.
Some routers don't always work this way as they are not designed to, i had a spare Linksys which needed custom firmware installing before you could get it working. |

I would be interested in doing this, I found your posting after pricing up some bridges to get my old XBOX to connect to my current wireless router (WRT54GL-UK)
I have a spare WRT54GL-UK knocking around so would be very interested to learn how to rig it to act as a bridge and save £60 :) |

Sixty quid is a lot but the official microsoft wireless adapter is well worth it IMO and saves a lot a headaches when it comes to wireless networking and xbox live. Good luck with the set up.
