Lynksys Cable Router problem

Rightio, I have a LINKSYS WRT54GSUK, sharing my 20Meg Virgin cable connection between 3 pcs (All hardwired). Tonight at about 10pm I was surfin, and chatting on MSN, when bang the net went down. Do I tried the usual things, rebooted Modem, Router, PC the whole caboodle. So as to check the PC was okay, I tried getting online on another PC, all was the same. Now I could browse the router, AND cable modem pages, and I could also log into either of the other 2 pcs via RAdmin, or FlashFXP. But none of the PCs would access the net!
I have replaced all the cables between modem, router, and main pc, all to no avail.
As a last resort I plugged my main PC direct into the cable modem, and wey hey, I now have internet access.
So, with wishful thinking I replugged back up the lynksys router, and lo and behold, NO internet again.
Would I be right in thinking that the router is defunt in someway, or am I missing something?

Cheers guys :)

I had the same problem today, repair your connection with XP via control panel and then restart computer. Worked for me.

Have you held the reset button in at the back of the router for 5 seconds. Can you also get to the router settings via IE
