Network Switches
Hey Guys,
Anybody know where I can buy 8 port and 16 port network switches with internal power supplies? Cheers :) |
Re: Network Switches
To be honest, I think you're gonna be looking at business level switches rather than SOHO as SOHO are usually designed to be small and un-noticable (hence the external power supply) why do you particularly want one with an Internal power supply? The alternative can be pretty bulky and unwieldly.

Re: Network Switches
We have a history of losing power supplies/transformers (possibly because they're disguised as cars.....), also they're normally less hassle to connect to trailing leads.

Re: Network Switches
OK well as I say, probably looking at a business level switch would be best as the Small home ones tend to have external PSUs to keep their size down, most business ones will have a standard "Kettle Lead" input so as to be used in a rack enclosure with a 32A (or similar) power bar.

Re: Network Switches
I suspect that 24 ports will be the smallest you'll find - for example, some of these:
