Can anyone on Virgin access https://www.partnerandaffinitycards.co.uk/Servicing/Logon

I am new to this forum.

I am having problems accessing this site :-

https://www.partnerandaffinitycards....px?brand=AMZ01

The problem is only from Virgin Cable Internet.

Others using BT, Eclipse Internet etc have no problem.

I have disabled firewall software etc, so I am sure its not my PC that is causing the problem
Even a telnet to port 443 to that IP fails, while the same works when I am on the Eclipse ISP network (Hampshire).

The tracerouts to the site from other ISP's differs from Virgin, and
when I do a traceroute to this IP address using Virgin, it stops at COLT.net

I am quite convinced this is a routing / BGP peering issue, but sbefore I jum to that conclusion, I need
others on Virgin Cable to test !!

BTW my IP address is 81.100.42.xx

Thanks

Works here but it also then complained I wasn't running IE7 when it loaded.

Thanks. It must be my IP address then. Can I ask you a favour ?

Can you paste the outout of the command from a DOS window :-

tracert www.partnerandaffinitycards.co.uk

Thanks

Erm if anyone feels like running the tracert please do not paste in your IP address for obvious reasons. Remove it and paste the remaining trace.

Re: Can anyone on Virgin access https://www.partnerandaffinitycards.co.uk/Servicing/L

Also, in my traceroute, I go out of Virgins network using 80.4.30.225 as the first public IP address.

So maybe the problem is localized to this area. I am in Woking BTW.

Thanks

Unplugged Linksys, got different IP address & worked

Hi,

I unpluged my linksys router, and pluged the cable modem directly into my PC.
I got a new IP address begning with 86.

I could then access this site.

Then I put my router back.

Now I am back to my old IP address, and cannot access it once again.
So, its either the linksys messign things up (which I highly doubt), or its my IP address that has a routing problem :(

Thanks

Re: Can anyone on Virgin access https://www.partnerandaffinitycards.co.uk/Servicing/L

Works okay for me, but I am using http://www.opendns.com/ as opposed to Telewest's DNS.
The ip address for www.partnerandaffinitycards.co.uk should be 213.212.77.63
Set your router or PC to use the following DNS servers.
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
