Domplayer

I recently got hold of a video file and when I played it with windows media player, it say it has to be played by "domplayer" and can be downloaded at download/domplayer.com, when I get there its $3 to download. Activation is by mobile phone ??!!

Anybody has come across it cos I have not, what is your experience with it. Sounds very dodgy to me.

If you read that article Gazzae linked to, there's info at the end for being able to use the file without having to use the malware from Domplayer.
