Re: What is a VPN?
Ok for those that do not know what Google Search is or is used for here is a link.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_search Now by using Google Search and typing in "WHAT IS A VPN" i was presented with this page. Then by clicking on each of the links i was able to discover what a VPN is. http://www.google.com/search?q=what+...B244GB244&aq=t :) I honestly cannot believe that there are those that do not understand how to use GOOGLE :) |

Re: What is a VPN?
VPN is a virtual private network, it allows you to remotely and securely connect into your own network across the internet.
So you'll be able to use all your network shares / printers etc from anywhere that has an internet connection. Its somthing used by companies and universities more than home users, for example i can remote desktop into my university machine from home and yet the machine only has a private ip |
Re: What is a VPN?
As a home user I doubt you would need one. They are for businesses and people logging into company networks remotely and securely.
