Odd message on tty1 (kernel alive)

Ever since I installed the x64 version of ubuntu I get this at the bottom of the screen as the kernel starts just before the splash comes up

It can also be seen on tty1 (goes when I login though)

Looks like a memory address to me, but how come the message is displayed 32bit versions never displayed this.

Just different compiler options probably - if you google "Kernel direct mapping tables" it appears to be a normal 64bit message and nothing to worry about if it continues into Gnome.

It doesn't, probably because i set the WM to kde ;)
when I went from 32bit > 64bit I wasn't paying enough attention when I downloaded it and grabbed ubuntu instead of kubuntu so I just installed the kbuntu packages ;)
