Re: Gecube HD 2400 256MB
nick, most of the AGP 8x units are backwards compatible with AGP 4x.
but please dont quote me on this as that info I'm not 100% on.... but afaik it should work. |
Re: Gecube HD 2400 256MB
Same voltage, just half the bandwidth. That's all the differences... Hmmm, should work in my opinion mate, all my AGP 8x cards over the years did in my old test mobo :)

Re: Gecube HD 2400 256MB
Will that GFX work on my Athlon 1600+ (1.4GHz) 768MB ram 4xAGP slot?
I spent...£37 on a 9550 256MB card couple of months ago, please tell me I wont see any significant improvement if I buy that card. :S |
Re: Gecube HD 2400 256MB
HSH, you would notice some improvement on the 2400 card, it has a better/faster chip on it then the 9550 or even say the 9800 gt.
so yes you would see some but tbh I wouldnt spend anything on that system of yours...I dont know what you do with it but I would save some pennies and look for an upgrade. |
Re: Gecube HD 2400 256MB
Its still not a gaming card I pointed Nick to it purely cuz it was a newer card and in his budget. I would not ever recommend a card like this if you expect it to play games at all. As a means of getting an image on the screen its ok
