DV or USB
Hi
Just a quick question what are the advantages of using a DV cable to transfer video footage from a DV Camcorder to my PC over USB. As i am thinking of getting a Firewire pci card to transfer videos and just wanted to make sure that it was worth it.. Thanks in advance |

Re: DV or USB
Not sure about your camcorder & software, but I know my JVC miniDV cam only allows stills to be transfered by USB - video must be copied by firewire. Have you actually tried downloading via USB yet?

Re: DV or USB
I would recommend firewire everytime. It was designed for video transfer, and, as stated before can sustain a higher speed. We have Sony camcorders at work that do output video via USB, but they lower the resolution of the video to do so.
