Why are the north and south poles not visualized on google earth? Presumably there are satellite images of those locations......:dunce:

High altitude pictures of white snow and ice... Probably not a lot to see...

Hom3r owes me a new keyboard after I clicked on the google earth link for area 51

I thought that but it wouldn't hurt them to put the images up anyway so why the hell didn't they?

Probably because the planes the companies use to do the mapping are not suitable to go over the poles..

To some extent, but for close up stuff, they use planes (AFAIK)

Fair nuff, but if they can't fly planes over the north pole then use satellite data.
Take a look, it's really strange how google earth just stops at a radius of 823 km
from the south pole.
