Looks like that system has other problems as well. Warning showing against SM Bus controller could indicate that some low-level system drivers are not installed. I'm guessing here but it seems possible to me that missing/damaged drivers could affect the USB function.

What drivers would I need?

The SM driver should be part of the motherboard driver package. How did you last install XP on this machine? From an XP cd or from manufacturer's restore disk or partition? You appear to be missing sound drivers as well.

Re: Urgent, please help me get back online!

You need to identify the make and model of your motherboard. Once you have done this you can go to the maker's support site and download the correct driver package.

google for SIW, this is a neat standalone tool that will show you a load of information about your system.

delete the network bridge from the network connections- you don't need it, and it may well have messed up your network connection settings.

When you've done that, go into the properties of the buffalo connection and internet protocol and make sure that it is set to obtain ip and dns addresses automatically
