Re: Logon Problems

Check their Internet Settings. Make sure all dial up and DSL connections are removed, and that it is set to connect from the LAN.

Choose not to use a Proxy (disable auto detect).

Alternatively you can try the CD, and quit when it gets to registration. Out of interest, what do you mean by Wont work?

Thank you Isproc, by wont work I mean the web page says "Forbidden, access denied by control list" on other profiles except the one I set it up with.

That sounds like a proxy has been selected or details for another isp are still active. As above, goto internet options, then connection tab. Tick 'never dial a connection', Click 'lan settings' and make sure that the only option ticked is the top one.

its Lsproc btw :)

That is a very strange error. Can you navigate to Cable Modem Diagnostics (192.168.100.1) from a non working profile?

Also, are you ex-NTL or ex-Telewest. If your new, then I have no idea how to find out :P

You can get that message when it is trying to use a proxy from another ISP. (especially AOL)
