Re: Email size restrictions?
It could be the person you are sending to has a limit.

Re: Email size restrictions?
9MB is pretty big to email in one hit... can you zip or rar the pics?

Re: Email size restrictions?
I think its 2Mb per email.

Re: Email size restrictions?
Some files although they are <10mb, will be >10mb in an email, I have sent files around 8mb, I suggest you use GMAIL, which allows attachments up to 20Mb, but your recepient has to use GMAIL as well.

Re: Email size restrictions?
Before VM took over Telewest it had a 16MB file size limit and don't now if VM have lowered this to maybe 10MB like most.
This isn't the size of the email as the files sit on your PC but in fact the size after they're encoded for sending. To calculate, total up the size of the email and divide it by 0.8. Example, 8MB / 0.8 = 10MB |
Re: Email size restrictions?
AFAIR the attachment gets massive overheads once composed and sent.
I'd be tempted to zip/RAR and use something like Mediafire to send files over say, 6 or so MB. ISP email addys are notoriously flaky in my experience with big files. I have a third party business email address that handles big files no prob - I'd never dream of using my NTL/VM address for these. |
