Netgear Trouble
 

Hi, having netgear trouble since internet went down 2 days ago. Other half sorted our main pc but on my laptop (advent 7201) netgear is showing but won't now allow me to connect . Also our shared printer is now not found! Any suggestions will be gratefully recieved.

What model of router, is the laptop connection wired or wireless.

What if anything was changed on the router when your "other half" sorted the main PC?

Presumably you've done the simplest test of powering everything off, then restarting the router first, then in sequence everything else?

If your connecting wirelessly you need to check your authentication is correct too. Might be worth doing a factory reset on the router and check things like proxy settings etc. Can the laptop get to the router and log into the setup screens?
