Issue with Linksys WRT54GR
 

Hi, I have recently purchased Linksys WRT54GT router.

I can connect to the router but despite hours of trying I have been unable to access the configuration page. I can ping the router fine but can't open the UI using 192.168.1.1. Have tried various things suggested by Linksys (reset router, turn off pop up blocker, turn off Windows firewall etc) but still at square 1.

The machine is definitely working as I went back to the store and they demo'd it on two other laptops.

Any thoughts? I'm using Acer laptop with Vista.

have you tried going into Network off the start menu. Should show up in there, then right-click and select 'View device webpage'

Yes, tried that one, says trying to connect to 192.168.1.1 then eventually it times out.:(

do you have a proxy setup in your browser?

No, no proxy settings, have checked through IE this is clear.
