windows mail
Hi,
Have just taken delivery of a new Pc with windows Vista. All seems OK at the moment, apart from one annoying little issue. Each time we log out of our accounts and then log back in, Windows Mail asks for the credentials (username/password) even though the "Remember" box is ticked. Anybody else get this? Some other forums are pointing towards incompatibility with some 3rd party antivirus software (I use Virgins PCGuard), or do do with the UAC setting for users? |
Re: windows mail
Pcguard is not yet, as far as I know, compatible with vista. It may or may not be causing that problem, but as it is not compatible with Vista, it may cause others.

Re: windows mail
thanks
it is Vista compatible, but windows Mail does not seem to be on the compatible email list.... only outlook express. will look at using Outlook 2003 as i have that anyway... |
Re: windows mail
You may need to choose the security method for connecting, but i don't know what virgin's is off the top of my head.
If virgin is still the conventional pop3, there's no reason why it won't work. |
