V+, moving house

Hi

We have had V+ installed for £150, we are on XL TV package so pay no monthly charge, could anyone tell me: Do we own the box? can we take it with us if we move house? If we move house and take the box do we have to pay another £150?

Thanks for any answers.

You dont own the box virgin do the £150 was just an installation cost. When you move house just phone up VM and they should transfer your account for free

Old bump, but slight variation on the same topic.

Moved back into my parents about a year ago, sorted myself out with V+ as the additional box, but now I'm moving back out.

Can't transfer my mums account, so will be setting up my own account at new address, can I take the V+ with me?

Only paid for the git about 4 months ago :td:

You should be able to, could be a bit complicated mind. Worth giving Virgin a ring, get through to someone who knows what they are doing and your on to a winner :)

As the V+ is registered to your mums account it will ahve to stay there and you will have to set a new account with fresh new equipment and fresh charges

VM have to be seen to act reasonably - and it's a reasonable request - so ask em
