DLInk DI 624 problems

Got a DLink Di-624 rev B - with 1.33 fimrware

load of issues

over wireless, internet becomes very slow .. a hard reboot of the device fixes problem but after 2 hours back to normal.

on desktop conencted via wired notice the LAN in system on XP SP2 goes from disconnected to connected every few hours

I used to have a cheap one and never had a problem, but this DLink

cant see any new fimrware on DLink site or can I flash a different firmware on the same device from another country

anyone use this modem.. and have it working successfully.

Re: DLInk DI 624 problems

I had one of these a while ago and consigned it to the bin after a couple of weeks. This is a particularly nasty bit of kit and it has a tendency to inflict RFi upon itself. If your machine is not too far away from the router try turning the power setting down to the lowest level. I seem to remember reading on another forum somewhere that part of the problem is due to the cheapo psu supplied with the router.
