CPU temp

I was looking at my CPU temps on Everest, and noticed that the CPU (pentium3 1Ghz), was hitting 41c, is this a normal temp for a CPU? Under minimum to moderate load, e.g. web browsing, MSN etc.

Re: CPU temp

You should be fine but a quick open up of your case and cleaning those fans of dust might be a good idea, make sure any cables are not blocking the flow of air, and install another fan if you really want to.

See here for more info on temperatures according to CPU:

Re: CPU temp

I gave the fan a dust off, it wasnt that dusty, I dont know where i can put another fan, as there is already a case fan.

These are the temps if your interested.

Motherboard 29 °C (84 °F)
CPU 37 °C (99 °F)
Aux 23 °C (73 °F)

Re: CPU temp

Most CPU's Ive come across idle at 45-50*c and max out at 65*c, BUT, Ive had one hit 75*c and still run fine. Looked up the CPU and its max safe temp was 90*c :)
