Linksys card can not find the interweb! Help
 
Hi Guys and Gals.
Need your help, Ive basically set up my friends laptop with a PCMIA Linksys wireless card, set it all up and its connecting to the router but says the internet can not be found, ive tried setting up a new network and playing with all the settings but its having none of it.
Any help or advice please?

And is windows doing the configuring of the connection, or the Linksys software?

Try switching it to let windows look after it. I think I used to have a similar problem with my old laptop.

What's the output of ipconfig /all in a terminal window? To get a terminal window type command into the box you get after clicking on run in the Start menu...

Remove the Linksys software and just get Windows to config it - I've had issues with Linksys Wi-Fi software drivers before - just un-install it and let Windows config it.
