Lost my email address etc due to Virgin
Ive was with NTL for broadband since 2003. nevr had a problem.
In May this year Virgin decided to close my account for no reason. I phoned up and after hours talking to people I was told it was done in error and would be back in 7 days. :td: After 5 days everything was back but I was not able to access my email anymore at Ntlworld as i was told the username didn't exist. Ive contacted Virgin twice and they say they will get back to me but they haven't. :mad: Yesterday I found my internet was down again so phoned Virgin this morning to ask what was wrong. This time the reason was they cancelled my Direct Debit payment for no reason, and without sending me any info on this they suspended my account due to failure to make payment. Ive got it all set up again now after being on the phone for a while and refusing to pay a late payment fee as it was them who cancelled my payment. Virgin are starting to drive me nuts, can anyone give me advise on the best way or department to contact about my email? |

I think this needs to be done by broadband technical support.
Have you tried sending a test email to your ntlworld address to see if you get an error message back? That might indicate whether your email address still exists and has just been suspended or whether it has been deleted. |

For nearly 2 weeks I have not been able to check my webmail. Every time I try to log in it says Error Signing In, try again or reset password!!! I cannot reset the password as I cannot get into my own account. I try from work/friends computers & it is exactly the same. I rang Virgin & was told it was the technical support I needed to speak to & was diverted to India. The lady told me to unplug my tv top box & reboot? I did this-then she said do the same with the modem-I did-she then guaranteed I would be able to now get on the internet & check my mail. I tried but nothing had changed so I told her there are 2 different problems. 1. No connection to Internet-have tried my modem on neighbours computer also my laptop & it is definately not working-please send me another? I was assured when i reboot the computer all will be well! It isn't. 2. Cannot access my mail as it clearly states this account has been suspended! The lady told me I would have to speak customer care about that. I did & according to them my account is not suspended & everything is running as it should. The outcome: I have spoken to a lady in India for at least 25 minutes at 25p per minute, customer care several times & I still have a faulty modem. If I use neighbours modem I can access the Internet but cannot check my blueyonder mail yet am paying for a service I am not getting! I had no problems when it was telewest-now its VM there are continual problems, even for my poor 82 yr old mum whom just has a phone line & tv package! I feel I'm in an eternal circle just going round & round & round & the computer sits their whilst I sit at my neighbours computer or the one ay work! Any advice would be greatly appreciated? |
