Hyperlinks via Outlook not working
Since I updated IE 7 after being told by the browser an update was available even though I was running IE7 I let it up-date
Since then if I click on any hyperlink in Outlook it does not take me to the address but brings up a box Locate Link Browser. Any thoughts how to get the hyperlinks working again or is it a re-install of Outlook |
Re: Hyperlinks via Outlook not working
Could try Tools... Internet Options... Programs tab... Reset Web Settings

I have tried Tools…..Internet Options……Programs tab….. Re-set web settings, the only problem is I can’t find it in either IE or Outlook. IE had the best chance but it did not have that last tab Re-set web settings….HELP and Outlook we just won't go there. :help: |
Re: Hyperlinks via Outlook not working
It's a button on the tab. Or should be. Unless they've fiddled with things in IE7. I don't have it at home - only at work. Will have to check tomorrow and see.

New version IE7 I think this is the problem as all was working before, I think I’m going to try a system restore.

Re: Hyperlinks via Outlook not working
Yes, that's it. I had the same problem after going back to IE from Firefox. IE wasn't selected as the default browser

Re: Hyperlinks via Outlook not working
I have it sorted now and thanks for all the help which I did try but gave-up and did a system restore.
The problem happened after I was advised I needed the new version of IE7 only prob I was already using IE7 but you know computers it would have kept telling me like the wife nags me (only joking) so I let it download the new version I already had. When all was re-started I opened my email client and checked for new messages from CF (sad git) when I clicked on a hyper-link it opened a window asking what prog I wanted to open. Yes I had Firefox as the main browser (don’t we all) but like I said I did a system restore Thanks and even more thanks,,,,,,,,,that’s it there is no more :p: |
