I think I have it narrowed down to 2 HDTVS and would appreciate any input.

and the panasonic is cheaper at Comet of all places lol http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/p...ite=slimvision

Both look like good sets

There will be 3-4 (or more) updated models of the tv you will end up buying out within a year. But yours won't be out of date as such, just not as good as. Shouldn't stop you buying though and I'd go for the Sammy (as I've got one). :)

Id spend the money on a projector and screen for your movies and stick with a CRT tv for normal viewing unless of course you have sky HD and a PS3 otherwise if you have VM tv there isnt enough content and still on all the tvs ive seen SD broadcasts look crap

Yeah I'd love a projector but sometimes they just ain't practical. I use my LCD for tv out (x264's), and use as a good 2nd monitor, the 360, good dvd playback with a half decent (and cheap) upscaling player.

You're right about the quality of everyday tv though, but a 32" model ain't that bad, and as long as it's a digital signal.

Also the Sony Bravia KDL32S2510U ain't a bad model either and in the same price range as the Samsung. (Going by reviews).

The one thing I don't like on some of the newer Sammys is the quality of the sound. The bdx74 model had the worse sound ever. So an AV or something can compensate for that.

I love my Sony Bravia for the PS3 and V+, colours crisp and picture clear. Really looks good when viewing a Blue Ray DVD.
