Ive just been look through the EPG and why have Virgin taken off all the spare exSKY placeholders but 610??Does this mean they will announce on Thursday that Virgin Sports News is on its way and putting it on this EPG number:confused:

610 was the old number for BBC News 24, and not a sky channel.

You're both missing out an ex-Sky channel that hasn't been removed. Right now ex- Sky Prem Plus Channel 501 is also still there on the network. Now unless Setanta PPV's are going to use this one, where else could you put a new Sports News channel to pee off your rival by putting it right next to Sky Sports One?:)

610 on the other hand would make more sense for a normal news channel replacement if it were ever to happen - as per those recent rumours that ITN were willing to talk to anyone in the broadcast industry who'd work with them as partners to reintroduce onto TV the old ITN News Channel. Otherwise why is it still there - apart from the thought they just forgot to delete it?
