Wireless is really bad
 
I have a netgear router and my adaptor in my destop is really close to the router but I only get 3mb on spped tests but from an ftp site i get 800KB/s
is there any reason why this might happen straight thoght i get my full 10mb
an ideas or reason will be great

Something causing interference on your wireless signals? Have you tried changing channels?

channel have been changed I have tryed from 1 - 13 and still no luck

I know this doesn't solve the problem, but if there that close to each other then I wouldn't even bother with wireless, get a good old ethernet cable between them!

I only have it wireless so I can use my wireless for xbox live

Had a similar problem is the router blocking ICMP requests ?? if so allow them
