Problem distributing Virgin/ntl telephone via CAT5e
 

I'm trying to distribute my Virgin telephone line around my home via my structured Cat-5e network, but am getting lots of static, very low volume and can hear my own voice amplified back to me in the earpiece!
What am I doing wrong?

And.. anyone familiar with Cat5 in the North London area who could help me out for a few bob??
