PIPEX: Bill arrives two years after cancellation!

Hello there.

We were with Pipex broadband a couple of years ago and we did not like thier service (Bad drop outs, unreliable connection etc.) so we migrated to UKONLINE we also did'nt like thier service due to worse problems, then we had Virgin and now Sky.

To the horror this morning there was a letter in the post from Pipex saying they want approx £60 from us. What?!? For what?!

We gave them a call on the old dog and bone and they were saying that there must be an "out-standing" balance, well we payed all thier bills via DDebit and therefore had no outstanding amount.

They are now "looking" into it, and we have a feeling we will either
1) Get contacted back saying YES you need to pay £xx.xx
OR
2) Get a letter from their debt collecting company.

We are not a happy bunny :(

If they give you any hassle contact your local CAB. I'd think they haven't got a leg to stand on if they kept quiet for two years.

The thing is, well this is'nt the first time they tried to say we need to pay them, they sent one a few months ago, however the women on CS said because we have'nt been with them for a long time they will let it go.

P.S. Thanks for the quick reply.

When you speak to them, remind them of this, and try to get it in writing.
