Forgotten password for ntlworld.com email
 

Hello guys,

I became a VirginMedia cust again a couple of weeks back, I set up my email address and I was pretty sure I used a password that I would remember. I can't seem to log in though. I went to "forgotten password", filled in my ntlworld.com email and got a message saying "your password has been emailed to you". Are they taking the ****!? I found that rather annoying as I don't have the time to spend all day on hold to CS to find out what my password is.

You'll need to ring CS, the password emailed to your email address is a standard security feature. Some networks that do this also include the IP address and time of the machine that made the request, so that the address owner can raise a complaint with the requesting network if they think that somebody is deliberately trying to gain your password.

What's the point of them sending my password to my email address though? That makes no sense at all. I'll ring CS when I can. I have tried before but just spend ages on hold.

As I said, its a security feature if somebody else decides to try and get your password, by only sending it to the email address its assigned too, and not putting it up on the screen.
