Cable Modem Lights

Hi Folks

I have been asked to take a look at a cable modem problem, I have noticed that the ready light on the modem is flashing red, I have powered the modem off and on but still continues to flash.

Any suggestions very welcome.

What model modem?

The modem is an NTL 250.

I thought as much the lady rang them and they said it would be three weeks before anyone could come out. To me that is totally unacceptable but thats ntl for you.
