belkin router sharing problem????
 

I have a belkin router connected to my pc. But my bros moved back in so i have to share the broaband. He connects wireless from his laptop. And when he's downloading its slowing down my speeds when playing games my pings normally 20s but soon as hes on it rockets to 100s etc. Is there anyway i can set a bandwidth for his internet etc through the router so it doesnt interrupt my internet.

Does your router have any QoS function?

However anyone doing anything on the net will affect you. Can you not just ask him to avoid big downloads during gaming time?

where is he downloading from and what kind of games you play mate?

the router has QoS probably but even that will not help you.

just ask your bro to leave the downloading when you play games. or play the games together easier even ;)
