WPA and Win ME

I set up a wireless network 2 pcs and a laptop no prob. - untill I enabled the WPA. I was then able to pick up the signal using 'view available networks' and then putting in my password. But my laptop is running on win me and doesn't show the icon on the taskbar that I used to setup my 2 pcs (running xp). I hope you follow this.
So how do I now log in on my laptop?

It was working just fine until I enabled WPA security.

um i thought Windows minging edition didn't have native wireless support...

so i suppose you're using a PCMCIA wireless card or dongle? If thats the case then have you tried updating the driver via the card/dongle manufacturer's website?

what kind of adapter have you got 1st of all as they all come with their own software tools, and I'm 100% sure that if you open up the tool that you can configure the network again.

just remember as soon as you got contact with the network again that you might need to renew the ip address again.

and its Windows Multiple Errors edition ;)

Normally 9x OS like ME doesn't include any native wifi support - is there an updated driver from the mfr?

Re: WPA and Win ME

it depends what your wireless network card or USB adaptors manufacturer is. i know that when I had ME with my belkin usb adaptor i had to change it from TKIP to AES in the advanced settings on the usb adaptor software, so this might be the case for you
