Isp Recomendation

i'm looking for an isp which is unlimted.

im currently with cable and will leave soon due to the shapping stuff and the 4 pm stuff.

im looking for anybody who can offer true unlimited and does not shappe or throttle my bandwidth.

is there anything out there.

I do not care how fast it is just as long as it's not 56k

Has anybody used BE internet before?

what you need to do mate is ask your neighbours. See if there connections are any good and see who they are with this at least will give you an idea if fast speeds are viable on your line (of course this is never a garrentee) then comes the hard part finding an unlimited isp. I dont think anyone has no fair usage policy now and as for caps and traffic shaping well there are cap free isps but I bet most will shape. You got a hard hunt on your hands to find the holy grail

There is no such thing as "unlimited".

ISP's limit your bandwidth speeds / download limits in order to give a decent level of service to all subscribers.

If you do find an "unlimited" provider they are either a) lying or b) lying.

Do your research before picking a provider - and read the small print of the contract.

Is the service truly unlimited?
In principal there are no download or upload limits on any of our broadband products, but they are subject to our “Fair and acceptable usage policy”. All fair and acceptable usage is included in our Be unlimited and Be pro and with Be lite the first 4 gigs of usage is included and then you pay for any additional usage over an above that. But even with Be lite, we do not stop your internet activity when you exceed the included usage and we won’t force you to upgrade either.

So what can Be’s services not be used for?
Making excessive use of, or placing unusual burdens on, the network,
A very open ended AUP there, they don't set limits but if you make excessive use of the network you will be punished........ hmmmm

Become your own ISP.......actually does anyone know how much it costs to start one up. Paying BT wholesale for the use of their lines will be quite alot, I presume.

There is a current price list of central capacity here. Bear in mind, there are many other things to take into account, besides the price for capacity from BT, there is plenty of hardware to purchase.

Thanks for the help whomever helped me some good stuff here i will take a look at zen i could not find breth internet at first when i mentioned it i forgot the name now i know it was hurting not to know.

for the rest of you who did not help let me clear up a few things that people thought they would take the **** and make fun.

i never had adsl so don't jugde people and make them look stupid second if you had my cable connection you would cry also why you say look at my first post of confusion i have a high power rate WHICH EVERYBODY HERE SAYS IS NOT GOOD BUT I GET 1.2 MBps DOWNLOAD With lots of lag online gameing when i drop the power rate with the clips put on 100KBps I GET BUT NO LAG so to get the full potensioal out of my 10 MEG i have to swap cable bit EXTENTION CLIP THINGS everytime i want to game or others want to down.

And you call that a service WHAT WORLD ARE YOU LIVEING IN all i want is what i pay for simple not hard to work out.

i have spoken to virgin a number of times about this had twice a tech come out and swap and cheak and replace the whole wire outside.

i had no problems untill virgin taken over 500 /600 gb per month and no complains thats what i call a top notch service and no problems eaither everything was perfect with telewest now just to add the shapping crap ontop is just a bonus.

Thanks for everyone who helped out if i find a nice adsl service i will stick and leave cable soon as i do.

Zen do a business package, which is supposed to be unlimited, it's expensive though.
