VNC

Is VNC still a good choice for remote control of other peoples pc's [mainly my kid's pcs] or is there anything better and free if possible?

Re: VNC

VNC is still good, but a while back they made it chargeable so it's harder to get the older fully free version.

UltraVNC is still free to download from here. Also TightVNC from here.

Or you could even use LogMeIn.

RealVNC is the one they've started charging for isn't it?

If you go that way PM me - I've got the original free version (server & client) I can post somewhere.

I always used VNC as it was easiest one to explain how to use to my parents.Stopped all the hassle of going around there everytime they had the slightest issue ;)

Now they live in Cyprus and never phone for PC help the Gits;)

There's still a free version on their site, as I looked today. There's also their Enterprise version which is for sale.
