Kerio Firewall Not Allowing Access to Networked PC
I have changed over to Kerio Personal Firewall from Norton, and it does appear to be a better product, other than, I cannot now browse the networked shared directories on another PC, that is hardwired to my Linksys Router. I access this router via wireless, and I can access the internet
If I disable the firewall, I can then Use Network Neighbourhood, Workgroup PC's, to access the shared directories and everything appears OK, when the Firewall is switched back on. Though it fails to find them when I next start the laptop up again. Obviously there is a setting in the firewall I need to enable, but I do not find this firewall as easy to use as Norton, or Zonelabs. Any ideas? |
Re: Kerio Firewall Not Allowing Access to Networked PC
Yeah you need to Add a rule for the local IP range - your router will give this away in the web interface. Add the range as trusted and it will work.
I can't remember how though, I'm using Vista and KPF isn't compatible with it yet. |
